As part of their German as a second language lessons, Year 3 pupils at City Campus worked on the topic of "Stories and creative writing" last school year.
As part of this final project, they created their own children's book by (German as a second language) children for (German as a second language) children. Working together, they created an exciting story about home and homeland. The children actively explored the idea that it is not always about how much you own, but with whom you share your time in life and with whom you experience adventures.
The pupils learned about the individual steps involved in writing a book. From brainstorming to the red thread to the book draft and the final revision. The story was rounded off with illustrations by a pupil and Ms. Stein.
The book will be available in the school library from this school year.
