The motto of this year's Jugend Forscht competition is "Don't ask me - ask yourself!".
Three pupils from Years 10 and 11 at Phorms Gymnasium Taunus asked themselves: "Does BPA (bisphenol A) migrate from food packaging and what conditions increase this effect?"
At the presentation in the Senckenberg Museum on February 15, they convinced the jury with their results and were awarded first place in the regional competition. At the state competition on March 27 and 28 in Darmstadt, the students will present further results in addition to the previous results, which could be determined using state-of-the-art technology thanks to a cooperation with the University of Frankfurt.
