Our bilingual Kindergarten
Discovering the world together

Welcome to PhorMinis, our bilingual kindergarten in the beautiful Taunus region. Here, your child will discover a loving, safe, and playful environment where they naturally explore two languages. With whole-day care and small groups, we ensure each child gets individual attention and feels comfortable, happy, and secure.

At the bilingual PhorMinis Kindergarten, your child embarks on a unique journey into the world of languages.

Through playful language learning using the immersion method, our little ones are naturally surrounded by German and English without any pressure. This approach not only develops their language skills from an early age but also fosters their understanding of different cultures. I am convinced that children learn best in a loving and safe environment that sparks their curiosity and encourages their individuality. We focus on each child’s strengths and interests. We create spaces that nurture creativity, independence and social skills. Our children grow not only linguistically but also personally – and that brings me great joy."

Why families choose our bilingual Kindergarten

1

Bilingualism

Our children experience both German and English naturally in their everyday life at the kindergarten, as our educational team consistently communicates with them in both languages. This natural flow allows your child to learn both languages playfully and without pressure.

2

Whole-day care

Our childcare concept offers you and your child reliable whole-day care with flexible hours from 8:00 to 18:00. Thanks to our high childcare ratio, we focus on your child’s individual needs and build a close and trusting relationship.

3

Nature as a source of learning

Surrounded by woods and meadows, the children experience the changing seasons and learn about nature as an important resource. We grow herbs and vegetables in raised beds in the outdoor area of the kindergarten. In this way, the children learn playfully and responsibly how valuable nature is.

4

Semi-open concept

Our children feel safe and secure thanks to fixed groups and caregivers. From the age of three, they can also join activities and projects in other groups during free play. This allows them to discover their own interests and gain valuable experience interacting with other children.

5

Preparation for reception year

In the last year of kindergarten, we offer an internal reception programme in small groups around twice a week. Our educational specialists specifically support fine and gross motor skills, language, concentration, cognition and social behaviour. In close cooperation with the team at the reception year, we also arrange class visits and joint events to ensure a smooth transition to school.

6

Cooperation with parents

Close and trusting cooperation with you is important to us. Regular parents’ evenings and personal development meetings give you valuable insights into your child’s development. You are also warmly invited to actively participate in the day-to-day running of the crèche. Our work is based on respectful interaction with one another.

PhorMinis
from crèche to kindergarten

Our kindergarten accommodates up to 84 children, who are cared for in one crèche group and three kindergarten groups.

Bilingualism

Bilingualism through immersion

At our bilingual Phorms kindergarten, your child experiences a bilingual environment where German and English are used naturally and consistently every day. The immersion method allows them to fully immerse themselves in both languages and learn playfully and without pressure. This approach gives your child a clear linguistic advantage and opens up global perspectives as well as a deeper understanding of different cultures.

Bilingualism

Linguistic adaptability

Research shows that children learn both languages intuitively, almost as if they were their mother tongue. They develop an impressive ability to adapt to different language environments, supported by gestures, facial expressions and the actions of our teaching team, which help facilitate understanding from the very beginning.

Bilingualism

Language skills and cultural openness

Experiencing two languages from an early age helps your child develop a strong language awareness. Beyond vocabulary and grammar, they will discover cultural traits through play. Bilingual education supports your child in getting to know, understanding and appreciating different cultures.

Bilingualism

Improved cognitive skills

Studies demonstrate that children exposed to multiple languages from an early age often develop greater cognitive flexibility and stronger problem-solving skills.

Educational partnership
Hand in hand with parents

Close cooperation between the kindergarten and parents is essential for your child’s positive development. Regular parent meetings, newsletters and our information board ensure transparency and foster trust between family, kindergarten and child. We look forward to working together with you to lay the foundations for a bright future for your child.

Reception

5 - 6 years

When your child turns five, we gently prepare them for their next big step: the school. Our unique concept for this is the Reception class, which is already part of our Primary School. It offers an ideal bridge and prepares your child in the best possible way for the transition to Year 1.

Important questions
about PHORMinis Frankfurt Taunus

  • We live abroad but plan to move to Germany. What is the admission process for my child?

For families still living abroad who cannot attend trial days in person, we offer an alternative admissions procedure tailored to this situation. This ensures a smooth enrollment process for international families. Please contact our Admissions Team for further information.

  • When will we be informed whether our child has been accepted?

Our teaching staff assess the results of the trial days promptly to provide parents with feedback as soon as possible.

  • Would you like to have several children cared for in our kindergarten?

Unfortunately, we do not offer discounts for siblings.

  • What does my child eat at kindergarten and school?

Our meals are balanced, regional and certified organic. Every day, trained chefs from our catering partner FPS prepare fresh meals in our school kitchen. Children can choose between two dishes – one of which is always vegetarian – and help themselves to a variety of fresh raw vegetables at the salad bar. Fresh water is available throughout the day. The menu typically includes fish once a week and organic poultry or beef twice a week. As shared meals are an important part of our school culture, children eat together with the teaching staff. We encourage good table manners and respectful behaviour. After lunch, children have plenty of time to play and move around.
